Great auto repair facility. Straight up honest explain all the work and explain what should be done going forward. As a tax advisor I appreciate that kind of Leadership. I highly recommend this business!

Honest Establishment …official dealership failed me for inspection and wanted 1,200 to fix… took here for 2nd opinion and showed me nothing was wrong..will come here first moving forward

I took my car in to get a new starter.... My car had not had any engine noise before. I picked up the car when the starter job was complete. Upon receipt of my vehicle I noticed a rattling coming from the engine. I took it back immediately... The shop gave me a ride home. They said they would look at it..... They then wanted to charge me a fee to diagnose and charge me for a pulley to SEE if changing pulley out was the problem... They had me go pick it up again, stating it was fixed. IT WAS NOT FIXED. I took an uber to pick it up as well as took one home.... The owner at first promised that if something was broken due to them that it would be fixed.... So a few days later I took ANOTHER UBER to pick up my car.. It is still not fixed... and still has problems (Engine sound) They ended up telling me it was something internally wrong with the engine... So after a few months I started taking it to other shops to ID the real problem.. VERY quickly I have another shop tell me my engine mount is damaged... Most places they change the water pump out on this model quote 3-4 hours of labor... This shop quotes 1.5 -2 hour because they raise the engine to put in a starter... This shop dropped the engine in my engine mount which is why it was damaged... on my last visit to College Tire & auto the owner ends up yelling at me and stated he has been doing this for 30 years.... NEGLIGENCE AND INCOMPETENCE.... So you have been doing this for 30 years but it takes you a week and half to try to ID the sound from the engine area which another shop diagnosed in 15 minutes? This place is absolutely horrible and the owner is despicable in how he treats his customers... I will be having my attorney take action, and will be distributing this story to the Wilmington NC community.....

This shop is the best around Wilmington - hands-down. Roger and the other gentleman in the office were not only professional, but extremely respectful, knowledgeable, and provided great services. An awesome team all-around. They got me back on the road quick and for an awesome price. Highly recommend this location and I will be coming back for any needs I have in the future! Thank you much!
